To get a website on the net, you need 3 elements: the site design/code, the domain name and hosting. At inTandem, we can take care of all three for you, saving you the headache of having to deal with domain registration and web hosting companies yourself.

Business card web page from €149

Are you not ready yet to invest in a complete site but want your existing and potential customers to be able to find your branded contact details on the Internet? Nowadays, it is no longer just desirable to have a web presence but it is rather becoming an expected necessity. inTandem can set up a one-page site for you for as little as €150. This includes your web hosting for the first year (worth €29.95) but excludes domain name registration. Your page can feature your contact details, a contact form and a list of products/services on offer. We will also make sure that your business is featured in the Google Business listings and can include a Google map on your page for a small additional charge. And if you already have a Facebook business page or are on LinedIn, Twitter etc. we'll of course link your web page to those too! If you host your site through us then we can also set up email addresses featuring your new, professional domain name in their address. That's a lot better than doing business with a generic address such as @hotmail.com, @gmail.com etc.!

Entry-level websites from €399

At inTandem, we specialise in customised websites that reflect your individual business' look & feel. However, for many clients, price is of the essence and you may wish to get your site up and running on a budget in the beginning. We can offer professional-looking entry-level sites from €299 inclusive of your first year's web hosting (worth €29.95).

These sites are based on pre-designed templates and inTandem will help you find a beautiful template that matches your requirements. There is a selection of free templates available as well as premium templates from €60. All content such as images and text must be provided by the client.

Customised brochure sites from €599

If you require a website that blends in perfectly with the designs already used by your business, you may wish to purchase our brochure site package. Here, we develop customised pages that are individually styled to become part of your overall business look. The base-package covers a site with two different page layouts, e.g. a home page and inner page layout. The number of overall pages featured in your site is irrelevant as additional pages can easily be generated from within the content management system. Additional features such as picture galleries, blog pages, flash content etc. is charged separately. All content such as images and text must be provided by the client.

Domain Name Registration

inTandem offers both domain name registration and hosting through its own account with Register365. Annual costs for appropriate domain names are as follows (excl. VAT):

Why chose a more expensive .ie domain over a .com or other domain? Well, if it's available inTandem recommends .ie as the first preference unless you are truely operating (or planning to operate) on an international level. .ie domains are harder to obtain and only available to businesses/organisations/individuals with a true connection to the Irish market. Anyone can obtain any .com name and a .com name can contain any wording you like, meaning that there is no control over whether such a domain name actually represents a genuine business. To the consumer, a .ie affords a certain level of implied trust in addition to the obvious Irish connection.

According to the Irish Domain Registry, a .ie domain can only be a:

• personal name
• corporate name
• registered trade mark name
• registered business name
• state agency name
• publication name
• school name
• politician's name
• unincorporated association name
• personal trading name
• discretionary name

IMPORTANT NOTE: All applicants applying for a .ie domain name who are not situated in the 32 counties of Ireland, must demonstrate a Real and Substantive Connection with Ireland (with the exception of those applying with a registered Community Trademark).

Hosting

Finally, you need to purchase some space on a hosted web server to let the world see your excellent web site! inTandem can offer Ireland-based website hosting from €29.95 p.a. including unlimited POP3 email accounts. No VAT is being charged at present on hosting. Although domain hosting can be obtained from international providers, search engines give more weight to sites hosted in their home territory.
